Fisherman with Sails
Oil on Canvas
In 1877 J.G.Brown traveled to Maine and Grand Manan. He discovered working harbors and the fishermen and sailors who inhabited and worked these waters. There he painted what have been considered to be some of the most interesting and intriguing pictures of his long artistic career.
"The Fisherman With Sails " is the companion piece to another painting "Fisherman With Oars"
